Day "66"

Well...Jeff is still here in good old room 509 of the BMT Unit, but not because things got worse! He is in the same condition, but the urologist wanted to keep him for observation one more night for a trial run. She was in the OR during his cystoscopy, and she gave us a really good description of what his bladder looked like. She could not believe the drastic improvement. She said his bladder was so fragile that it could begin bleeding again at any time...thus the recommendation to stay another night. They took him off of all IV fluids and it is up to him to hydrate himself enough that urine doesn't sit in his bladder long enough to form clots if it were to bleed. If things look good in the morning, we really should be going back to the condo in Park City.

That is awesome news. Your almost a free man again. Sounds like the Dr. are finally listening to you guys and making sure things are good before sending you on your way. We will pray for a good night and a release tomorrow. Love you both

Jeff, Hey its Tyler Roberts. I just wanted to say hi and tell you we are praying and thinking of you all the time. I wish the best for you and a very fast recovery. I have been reading your blog from day one and sorry I haven't posted sooner. You are an amazing example, I talk about you to our team all the time. If you didn't know I'm the Assistant Varsity B Ball coach at Dixie High. We play PV tonight so we will make you proud and get a WIN! I know you still bleed blue! Anyways I cant wait till you are better so we can play B Ball. That's a goal for you and you better get there! Jeff's wife you are an amazing person as well. What a great example you are to everyone. Good news once again! We are SO THRILLED to discover that you may be back at the condo even as I write this. "Cautiously optimistic" is probably what the medical team continues to tell you.

You don't have to worry about about being in sunny Dixie today because....there IS NO sun today. But, we have something even better--RAIN! Makes me feel a little ungrateful as I used to wish for sun in New Zealand. They get far more than their share of rain, but every "red-blooded Dixieite" (that especially includes you) regard rain as a gift from heaven.

We continue to pray for your steady improvement even while recognizing that this is not a test of your physical and emotional strength, but of your patience. It's easy for the rest of us to say, "This too shall pass," but we know that you will be strong, healthy, and....home.

You both bring us great joy as we witness true love between each other and your parents.

We love you,

Aunt D'On and Uncle Brent
