Day "58"

As Jeff and I have contemplated the day, we have decided that the only thing worthy of blogging is a visit from Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary (who had come up for the Draper Temple dedication) and Jeff's brother Joel (who is working at his South Jordan office). The rest is so monotonous that it hurts--catheter flushing, changing bed sheets, medications, sleeping, ESPN, watching blood levels, eating, watching urine bag fill up, changing irrigation bags, and spending "quality time together!"

You know, reading this blog entry reminded me of the same monotonies of taking care of my mom at home...but your situation is obviously more hopeful. Watching the urine bag fill up and med schedules are something I don't exactly miss per se, but it is weird the things that are on your daily list of things to do today right now. I'll be glad for you guys when that's not a part of your to do list anymore....hopefully that all happens soon and you can enjoy more exciting monotonous things like wiping kids' noses, picking up toys, etc. because I'm sure both of you would jump at that in a heartbeat. Love ya guys and take care.

Savor the positive right now and that is the quality time together. You will miss that when your back in the swing of life and running here and there. So cherish that time together. We will keep praying for everything else.

Justin and I just came across your blog. (He should be in bed) Read through all your posts...day zero through 58. Wow! Justin says you are tougher than nails. He expects you back for border league. He has been practicing about every day. Says scouts is not the same without you. He is looking forward to another summer at Thunder Ridge sleeping on rocks at a 45 degree slope and he plans on hiking to the "lake" with you. Good news the chicken coop was delivered in time for Christmas. (However several chickens may have perished prior to delivery). Get well. Justin and Aaron P.
