No, my camera doesn't have a "red eye" problem, those are Jeff's real eyes! They are the result of a low platelet level! Hence, the daily platelet transfusions! At first it was kind of spooky, but you get used to it after a while! :) Today has pretty much been business as usual, except for the fact that Jeff was unhooked from his med pole for like 15 minutes. He was able to walk around the unit like a free man, and then they hooked him back up for more meds!Thank you again for all the comments and emails! Our goal, is to eventually respond to each of you...but it is going to take a little while! But, please know they are appreciated and they mean more than you will ever know!

Oh no Jeff even your eyes are going Ute! :) I am so glad that things are going as well as they are. You are in our prayers and in our thoughts continually. If there is a time that you feel up to a visitor, I would love to come down from Logan.

That is crazy! We have a great day with the kids. For FHE we had a vinigar taffy pull, Kaitlyn enjoyed pulling the pink one! We are so glad to hear that things are going well for you, we pray that that continues :)

Maybe you should have taken care of all of this BEFORE Halloween and Jeff could dress up with his red eyes, red scrubs, and be something truly scary - A UTES FAN! :) I'm just kidding. We are still thinking about you guys and know that this time is so hard on you. We are keeping you in our prayers. Congrats on 15 minutes of freedom!
Hey Jeff! Our thoughts and prayers are with you! It is nice to have this blog to follow your progress each day. Hang in there! By the way, the red spots in your eyes are subconjunctival hemorrhages. Because of your thin blood (low platelet count) it is easier for it to escape from the capillaries. We see these a lot with people on blood thinners. As I watched the "Bald Beauties" I realized that Jay Andrus was the librarian when I went to Dixie. He was the only adult who made me feel welcome when I moved there. It is no wonder you are so nice...it runs in the FAM!
